MCD Reiterates Ban on Recording Proceedings After House Chaos

Hindustan Times · politics

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has re-imposed a prohibition on video recording and photography during its standing committee proceedings, scheduled for October 30. This directive follows recent chaos during a House meeting where heated exchanges led to physical confrontations and the disruption of discussions on crucial issues like budgetary allocations and waste management. Live streaming on social media platforms is also explicitly disallowed. While these rules are not new, they have been reportedly breached multiple times, prompting the reiteration of the ban to maintain order during official meetings.
