US Senator Marco Rubio has departed for India and Uzbekistan, with energy cooperation, trade, and strategic ties set to dominate his October 20 visit. The trip follows President Trump's temporary pause on potential tariffs on Russian oil buyers, including India, to assess economic impacts. Rubio acknowledged India's continued reliance on Russian supplies despite diversification efforts. He is scheduled to meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Mumbai and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani in Gujarat to strengthen bilateral partnerships and expand energy and commercial ties.

अमेरिकी सीनेटर मार्को रुबियो भारत और उज्बेकिस्तान के लिए रवाना हो गए हैं, ऊर्जा सहयोग, व्यापार और रणनीतिक संबंधों पर 20 अक्टूबर की उनकी यात्रा का मुख्य फोकस रहेगा। यह यात्रा राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप द्वारा भारत सहित रूसी तेल खरीदारों पर संभावित टैरिफ को आर्थिक प्रभावों का आकलन करने के लिए अस्थायी रूप से रोकने के बाद हुई है। रुबियो ने विविधीकरण के प्रयासों के बावजूद रूसी आपूर्ति पर भारत की निरंतर निर्भरता को स्वीकार किया। वह द्विपक्षीय साझेदारी को मजबूत करने और ऊर्जा तथा वाणिज्यिक संबंधों का विस्तार करने के लिए मुंबई में विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर और गुजरात में रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज के चेयरमैन मुकेश अंबानी से मिलने वाले हैं।
