Congress Govt Failure Drives Migration in Palamuru, Alleges Harish Rao

Times of India · politics

Former minister T Harish Rao has alleged that migration from the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district (Palamuru) has begun under the Congress government due to its failure to provide adequate water and power for the agriculture sector. He cited the migration of nearly 40 Dalit families from a village in the Chief Minister's home district to Karnataka in search of livelihood. Rao claimed that key irrigation projects are not operating at full capacity, leading to insufficient water supply and power disruptions, causing crops to dry up and damaging farm equipment.
