US inmate seeks court permission to cook food

A US national, Matthew Aaron VanDyke, arrested in a terror case, has approached a Delhi court seeking permission to cook his own meals in Tihar Jail. He has been on a hunger strike for over 50 days, claiming the prison food is unsuitable for his dietary habits. His family has offered to bear all expenses for his personal cooking setup.

तिहाड़ जेल में बंद अमेरिकी नागरिक मैथ्यू आरोन वैनडाइक ने दिल्ली कोर्ट में अर्जी लगाई है। वह जेल में अपना खाना खुद बनाना चाहता है। उसका कहना है कि जेल का खाना उसके खान-पान के हिसाब से ठीक नहीं है। वह 50 दिन से भूख हड़ताल पर भी है। उसके परिवार ने खाना बनाने के सारे खर्चे उठाने की बात कही है।
