Calcutta HC defers ISF symbol dispute hearing

The Calcutta High Court has deferred the hearing on the ISF's challenge against the Election Commission's decision to grant the 'envelope' symbol to the Democratic Trinamool Congress. The court will now hear the matter on Monday. Previously, the Election Commission was asked to clarify if a notification was issued before allocating the symbol for the bypolls. The ISF has requested the symbol be frozen, as they are also contesting in the by-elections.
