Bathinda is rapidly becoming a significant food-testing hub, with three government laboratories now operational at prominent institutions. These facilities, located at the Central University of Punjab, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, and Punjab Agricultural University's regional station, cater to diverse testing needs. Services range from checking for food adulteration and contamination to assessing authenticity and purity, supporting businesses, agricultural firms, and self-help groups. The Central University of Punjab's lab, recently NABL accredited, has already analyzed over 400 samples, with plans to expand its capabilities further.

बठिंडा तेज़ी से एक अहम फूड-टेस्टिंग हब बनता जा रहा है, जहाँ अब तीन सरकारी प्रयोगशालाएँ चालू हो गई हैं। ये सुविधाएँ सेंट्रल यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ पंजाब, महाराजा रणजीत सिंह पंजाब टेक्निकल यूनिवर्सिटी और पंजाब एग्रीकल्चरल यूनिवर्सिटी के रीजनल स्टेशन पर हैं, और अलग-अलग तरह की टेस्टिंग की ज़रूरतें पूरी करती हैं। सेवाओं में खाने में मिलावट और संदूषण की जाँच से लेकर असलियत और शुद्धता का पता लगाना शामिल है, जो बिज़नेस, एग्री फर्मों और सेल्फ-हेल्प ग्रुप्स की मदद करती हैं। सेंट्रल यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ पंजाब की लैब, जिसे हाल ही में NABL से मान्यता मिली है, ने पहले ही 400 से ज़्यादा सैंपल का विश्लेषण किया है, और आगे इसकी क्षमताएँ बढ़ाने की योजना है।
