Trichy Sterilises Over 36,000 Stray Dogs

Trichy Corporation has sterilised 36,090 stray dogs over the past two years as part of its animal birth control drive. This initiative aims to control the stray dog population within the city. Additionally, a drive to administer booster anti-rabies vaccine doses to already sterilised dogs has been launched to ensure long-term immunity. Officials plan to administer booster doses to approximately 10,000 stray dogs this year, enhancing the effectiveness of the sterilisation program.

तिरुचि कॉर्पोरेशन ने पिछले दो सालों में अपने पशु जन्म नियंत्रण अभियान के तहत 36,090 आवारा कुत्तों का बधियाकरण किया है। इस पहल का मकसद शहर में आवारा कुत्तों की आबादी को नियंत्रित करना है। इसके अलावा, लंबे समय तक इम्यूनिटी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पहले से बधियाकृत कुत्तों को बूस्टर एंटी-रेबीज वैक्सीन की खुराक देने का अभियान भी शुरू किया गया है। अधिकारियों ने इस साल लगभग 10,000 आवारा कुत्तों को बूस्टर खुराक देने की योजना बनाई है, जिससे बधियाकरण कार्यक्रम की प्रभावशीलता बढ़ेगी।
