The Indian Coast Guard successfully rescued six fishermen who were stranded off the Mamallapuram coast on Monday night. A distress call was received around 10 p.m., prompting the ICGS Sujay, on patrol, to be dispatched. The fishing boat had sustained critical hull damage, causing flooding and endangering the lives of the crew. The rescued fishermen received first aid on the ICG vessel and were brought safely to Chennai harbour on Tuesday, reportedly in stable condition.

भारतीय तटरक्षक बल ने सोमवार रात मामल्लपुरम तट से दूर फंसे छह मछुआरों को सफलतापूर्वक बचाया। रात करीब 10 बजे एक आपातकालीन कॉल मिली, जिसके बाद गश्त पर निकले ICGS सुजय को भेजा गया। मछली पकड़ने वाली नाव को गंभीर क्षति हुई थी, जिससे पानी भर गया था और चालक दल की जान खतरे में थी। बचाए गए मछुआरों को आईसीजी जहाज पर प्राथमिक उपचार दिया गया और मंगलवार को उन्हें सुरक्षित चेन्नई बंदरगाह लाया गया, वे ठीक बताए जा रहे हैं।
