Nayara Energy Hikes Petrol Price by ₹5/Litre, Diesel by ₹3/Litre
Business Standard · business
Nayara Energy, India's largest private fuel retailer, has increased petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel by ₹3 per litre with immediate effect. This move aims to reduce the gap between current retail prices and rising international oil and refined product costs. The company operates 7,108 petrol pumps across the country. This price revision follows earlier adjustments this year as refiners face challenges from geopolitical disruptions impacting crude and product markets. State-owned retailers, which control over 90% of fuel pumps, have historically maintained more stable prices.
