This marks the first visit by a German foreign minister in nearly seven years, with Wadephul stating that Berlin and Budapest have significant diplomatic ground to cover. He expressed hope that Hungary's new pro-European government can help restore trust. Separately, Germany's homeownership rate has dropped to 43.
