Aaditya Thackeray Demands Stay on Thane Data Centre Project

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has urged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to halt the Thane AI data centre project. Thackeray cited residents' concerns regarding the project's environmental impact and its location within a residential area. He requested a stay until the expert committee, headed by Dr. Anil Kakodkar, submits its report. The committee was formed following citizen protests to examine the matter. Thackeray also questioned the facility's energy consumption, noise pollution, heat emissions, and security implications, suggesting relocation to an industrial zone.
