Woman's Train Puja Sparks Debate Over Railway Rules

Aaj Tak · india

A viral video shows a woman performing puja on a train, lighting a diya and breaking a coconut. This has led to social media discussions questioning railway regulations regarding religious practices versus prohibited activities like smoking. While specific details of the incident remain unconfirmed, railway rules emphasize passenger safety. Lighting diyas or incense poses fire risks due to potential ignition of nearby materials and the spread of flames in moving trains. Such actions could lead to penalties under railway laws, though the exact application depends on the specific circumstances.
