NewsClick Case Reaches Supreme Court Over Foreign Funding Allegations

The NewsClick case has reached the Supreme Court following the Delhi High Court's decision to quash FIR and ECIR filings. ED has challenged this ruling, alleging NewsClick received ₹9.59 crore in foreign investment from a US company, Worldwide Media Holdings LLC. The ED claims this funding was used to promote activities creating a narrative against India and furthering Chinese interests. Investigations also involve alleged links with Chinese organizations and the use of funds for salaries and consultancy fees.

न्यूज़क्लिक मामला विदेशी फंडिंग के आरोपों पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट पहुंचा

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट द्वारा FIR और ECIR की फाइलिंग को रद्द करने के फैसले के बाद न्यूज़क्लिक मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट पहुंच गया है। ED ने इस फैसले को चुनौती दी है, आरोप लगाया है कि न्यूज़क्लिक को अमेरिकी कंपनी वर्ल्डवाइड मीडिया होल्डिंग्स LLC से ₹9.59 करोड़ का विदेशी निवेश मिला। ED का दावा है कि इस फंडिंग का इस्तेमाल भारत के खिलाफ नैरेटिव को बढ़ावा देने और चीनी हितों को आगे बढ़ाने वाली गतिविधियों के लिए किया गया। जांच में चीनी संगठनों के साथ कथित संबंध और वेतन व कंसल्टेंसी फीस के लिए धन के उपयोग भी शामिल हैं।
