Saudi Arabia has temporarily closed its critical East-West oil pipeline, a 1,200km conduit, following a drone attack on Friday. The pipeline, which transports oil from the east to the Red Sea port of Yanbu, was hit in the Riyadh and Medina areas, causing damage and injuries. The attack originated from Iraq, though no group has claimed responsibility. This closure halts Saudi oil exports, further disrupting global energy supplies amid ongoing conflicts in the region.
