Ex-Army Chief: Military Solution Off Table For India-China Border Dispute

Former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane stated that the events following the June 2020 Galwan Valley clash have made it clear that a military solution to the India-China border dispute is no longer an option. He emphasized that unilateral use of force to alter boundaries is unacceptable, which has given fresh impetus to resolving the issue through dialogue and diplomatic efforts. Naravane highlighted the importance of the special representatives' talks mechanism for long-term solutions. The Galwan incident, he noted, has significantly strengthened India's global reputation militarily, diplomatically, and politically.

पूर्व आर्मी चीफ जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे ने कहा कि जून 2020 की गलवान घाटी झड़प के बाद की घटनाओं ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि भारत-चीन सीमा विवाद का सैन्य समाधान अब कोई विकल्प नहीं है। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि सीमाओं को बदलने के लिए एकतरफा बल का प्रयोग अस्वीकार्य है, जिसने बातचीत और राजनयिक प्रयासों के माध्यम से मुद्दे को हल करने के प्रयासों को नई गति दी है। नरवणे ने दीर्घकालिक समाधान के लिए विशेष प्रतिनिधियों की वार्ता तंत्र के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि गलवान घटना ने भारत की वैश्विक प्रतिष्ठा को सैन्य, राजनयिक और राजनीतिक रूप से काफी मजबूत किया है।
