Saudi Arabia's coalition forces announced they intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis towards the Medina region. The coalition stated the missile was fired by the "terrorist Houthi militia." However, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree denied targeting the city, claiming their operations exclusively target oil facilities and military bases. Saudi Arabia's civil defence agency had previously issued a warning about potential danger in the area near the strategic port of Yanbu, a major oil export hub.
