Times of India · india

Residents of Tulshi village in Maharashtra's Solapur district, facing a 25-year water shortage, have been promised a pipeline by January. Rural development minister Jaykumar Gore visited the drought-hit village after residents protested by putting up 'for sale' signs. Despite being near a water project, Tulshi has never received water from it. The government plans to secure permissions for a closed pipeline from the Sina-Madha project to resolve the long-standing crisis. This development followed a survey by the Solapur district collector and a promise to submit a canal network proposal.
