Student Dies By Suicide After Parents Deny Leave For Durga Puja

A 14-year-old Class VIII student at an ashramshala in Gadchiroli allegedly died by suicide in her hostel room on Monday evening. Her parents denied her request to attend Durga Puja festivities after a teacher advised against it due to upcoming examinations and special classes. The girl was found hanging in her room by roommates after she failed to respond. Police are investigating the incident, examining a sketch found in her notebook that depicted a hanging figure with the caption, 'What does it matter even if I die?'.
