Hubble telescope observations have revealed a giant, 10-sided atmospheric wave emerging around Saturn's south pole. Subtle signs of this pattern were traced back to 2023. This newly identified feature is embedded within a powerful jet stream and spans multiple atmospheric layers. Scientists have long sought a southern counterpart to the northern hexagon.
