Farmer Killed in Suspected Tiger Attack in Chamarajanagar

A 65-year-old farmer, identified as Basavanna, was allegedly mauled to death by a tiger in his agricultural field in Badagalapura, Chamarajanagar district on Monday evening. His body was discovered by family and villagers after he failed to return home. The incident sparked angry protests against the Forest Department, with residents demanding compensation and the capture of the tiger. The body was sent for post-mortem.

चामराजनगर जिले के बड़गलापुरा में सोमवार शाम को 65 वर्षीय किसान बसवन्ना की कथित तौर पर उनके खेत में बाघ ने जान ले ली। घर न लौटने पर परिवार और ग्रामीणों ने उनका शव बरामद किया। इस घटना से वन विभाग के खिलाफ गुस्सा भड़क उठा। लोगों ने मुआवजे और बाघ को पकड़ने की मांग की। शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा गया।
