TVK Fields Ex-AIADMK MLAs for Tamil Nadu Bypolls

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has announced its candidates for the Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly by-elections, scheduled for October 6. Maragatham Kumaravel and P. Sathyabama, both former AIADMK MLAs who won the 2026 elections, will contest on the TVK ticket. Their resignations from the AIADMK and subsequent joining of TVK necessitated these bypolls. Both candidates will receive support from the Congress, VCK, IUML, and MDMK.

तमिलगा वेट्टी कज़गम (TVK) ने 6 अक्टूबर को होने वाले मदुरान्तकम और धरपुरम विधानसभा उपचुनाव के लिए अपने उम्मीदवार घोषित कर दिए हैं। पूर्व AIADMK विधायक, जिन्होंने 2026 का चुनाव जीता था, वे अब TVK के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ेंगे। उनके AIADMK से इस्तीफे और TVK में शामिल होने के कारण ये उपचुनाव हो रहे हैं। कांग्रेस, VCK, IUML और MDMK इन दोनों उम्मीदवारों का समर्थन करेंगे।
