Hindustan Times · politics
Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi stated he was 'shocked and stunned' after President Droupadi Murmu accepted the Opposition's allegations of 'vote chore' rather than denying them. Gandhi, part of a 10-member delegation, met the President to protest alleged irregularities concerning Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He expressed surprise that the President did not deny the claims of electoral malpractice. The Opposition memorandum also alleged a conspiracy by PM Modi, Amit Shah, and CEC Gyanesh Kumar to destroy Indian democracy.
