Chennai Metro Plans Seven-Storey Commercial Complex

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) plans to construct a seven-storey commercial complex near the Arumbakkam metro station. This standalone building, featuring a basement, stilt floor with mechanical parking, and seven commercial floors, will be built on a 17,872 sqft plot. The project aims to generate non-fare revenue and monetise land along the metro network. Similar developments are planned or underway in other areas like Alandur and Mandaveli.

चेन्नई मेट्रो की सात मंजिला व्यावसायिक परिसर की योजना

चेन्नई मेट्रो रेल लिमिटेड (CMRL) अरुम्बक्कम मेट्रो स्टेशन के पास सात मंज़िला कमर्शियल कॉम्प्लेक्स बनाने की सोच रही है। यह बिल्डिंग, जिसमें बेसमेंट, मैकेनिकल पार्किंग वाली स्टिल्ट फ्लोर और सात कमर्शियल फ्लोर होंगे, 17,872 वर्ग फुट की ज़मीन पर बनेगी। इसका मकसद मेट्रो से किराया न मिलने वाले राजस्व को बढ़ाना और मेट्रो नेटवर्क के किनारे की ज़मीन का इस्तेमाल करना है। इसी तरह के प्रोजेक्ट अलंदुर और मंडवेली जैसे इलाकों में भी या तो बन रहे हैं या बनाने की योजना है।
