Yemen's Houthi group has denied reports of attacking Islam's holiest cities, Mecca and Medina, after Saudi Arabia claimed to have intercepted missiles. The Houthis stated their military operations specifically target Saudi oil facilities and military installations, which they publicly announce. This denial comes amid heightened cross-border hostilities, with the Houthis claiming strikes on Saudi oil infrastructure and airports. Saudi Civil Defence confirmed shrapnel from intercepted missiles fell in the Mecca and Medina regions, but the Houthis maintain their focus is on economic and military targets.
