Cockroach Janta Party Alleges Deliberate Delay in Leaders' Release

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has accused authorities of deliberately delaying the release of its leaders, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das. The party alleges procedural irregularities and a hearing derailed by an alleged threat against a magistrate. Ranka and Das were arrested on October 13 for trespassing at Jantar Mantar to protest its denotification as a protest site. They remain in judicial custody as their bail plea has not yet been heard on its merits.

कॉकक्रोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) ने अधिकारियों पर अपने नेताओं आशुतोष रांका और सौरभ दास की रिहाई में जानबूझकर देरी करने का आरोप लगाया है। पार्टी का आरोप है कि प्रक्रियात्मक अनियमितताएं हुईं और एक मजिस्ट्रेट को कथित धमकी के कारण सुनवाई पटरी से उतर गई। रांका और दास को 13 अक्टूबर को जंतर मंतर में अतिक्रमण करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था ताकि इसके विरोध स्थल के रूप में अमान्यकरण का विरोध किया जा सके। वे अभी भी न्यायिक हिरासत में हैं क्योंकि उनकी जमानत याचिका पर अभी तक योग्यता के आधार पर सुनवाई नहीं हुई है।
