Several Delhi Police personnel staged a protest at the Police Headquarters against the transfer of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Station House Officer (SHO) of Shahdara district. The transfers followed protests by lawyers who accused the officers of misbehaviour, with the ACP allegedly brandishing his pistol. A Deputy Commissioner of Police attempted to pacify the demonstrators, reminding them of their police force identity, but his intervention was unsuccessful. Security arrangements were heightened around the headquarters with additional personnel deployed.
