NGT Seeks Explanation From DPCC Over Lack Of Groundwater Testing Equipment

NGT has directed the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) member secretary to virtually appear and explain the status of its laboratory and groundwater testing equipment near the Ghazipur landfill. The DPCC had previously informed the tribunal that it lacked the necessary equipment and was in the process of procuring it through a tender. The NGT, observing that a fully equipped lab was expected, has asked for a record of the current laboratory status and available equipment.

NGT ने दिल्ली प्रदूषण नियंत्रण समिति (DPCC) के सदस्य सचिव को वर्चुअल रूप से पेश होकर ग़ाज़ीपुर लैंडफिल के पास अपनी प्रयोगशाला और भूजल परीक्षण उपकरणों की स्थिति समझाने का निर्देश दिया है। DPCC ने पहले न्यायाधिकरण को सूचित किया था कि उसके पास आवश्यक उपकरण नहीं हैं और वह निविदा के माध्यम से इसकी खरीद प्रक्रिया में है। NGT ने, यह देखते हुए कि एक पूरी तरह सुसज्जित प्रयोगशाला की उम्मीद थी, वर्तमान प्रयोगशाला की स्थिति और उपलब्ध उपकरणों का रिकॉर्ड मांगा है।
