Gold Fund of Funds Subscriptions Halted; Investors Can Still Buy ETFs

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has imposed restrictions on new subscriptions for Gold Fund of Funds (FoF). This move is expected to slow down fresh inflows into these investment schemes. However, investors are not entirely locked out of gold investments. They can still purchase gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) directly through their demat accounts. This distinction offers an alternative route for investors looking to maintain or increase their gold holdings.
