India's head coach Gautam Gambhir praised the T20 team for setting a positive tone for the upcoming ODI and Test assignments in New Zealand. Despite arriving just two days before the series and having minimal rest, the Shreyas Iyer-led team secured a 3-2 victory in the T20 series. Gambhir highlighted the team's effort in winning against a quality opponent on their home turf. He urged the T20 players to maintain their fitness for future assignments, including a home series against Sri Lanka in December, emphasizing continuous improvement as a team.
