Rajesh Kumar Appointed Arunachal Pradesh DGP With Extensive Counter-Insurgency Experience

IPS officer Rajesh Kumar, a 1995-batch AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) for Arunachal Pradesh. His appointment follows his premature repatriation from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to his parent cadre. Kumar brings significant experience in handling law-and-order and security operations in militancy-affected regions, particularly Jammu and Kashmir. He has held key roles in counter-insurgency operations and received several police medals for his service. The Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister welcomed Kumar, wishing him a successful tenure.

1995 बैच के AGMUT कैडर के IPS अधिकारी राजेश कुमार को अरुणाचल प्रदेश का नया डायरेक्टर जनरल ऑफ पुलिस (DGP) नियुक्त किया गया है। उनकी नियुक्ति सेंट्रल रिजर्व पुलिस फोर्स (CRPF) से उनके मूल कैडर में समय से पहले वापसी के बाद हुई है। कुमार के पास उग्रवाद प्रभावित क्षेत्रों, खासकर जम्मू और कश्मीर में कानून-व्यवस्था और सुरक्षा अभियानों को संभालने का महत्वपूर्ण अनुभव है। उन्होंने काउंटर-इंसर्जेंसी अभियानों में प्रमुख भूमिकाएँ निभाई हैं और अपनी सेवा के लिए कई पुलिस पदक प्राप्त किए हैं। अरुणाचल प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कुमार का स्वागत किया और उनके सफल कार्यकाल की कामना की।
