उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने पिछली सरकारों की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि 2017 से पहले राज्य में त्योहारों पर उत्सवों के बजाय दंगे होते थे। उन्होंने दावा किया कि अब स्थिति बदल गई है, लोग मंदिरों में जाने और बाहर निकलने में सुरक्षित महसूस करते हैं। सीएम ने नवरात्रि और दुर्गा पूजा के कार्यक्रमों में उमड़ी भारी भीड़ को जनता के विश्वास की बहाली का प्रमाण बताया। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश के लोगों को राज्य के बाहर पहले भेदभाव का सामना करना पड़ता था, लेकिन अब उनका स्वागत किया जाता है।
