Journalist Accuses Netflix of Stealing Sand Mining Exposé

Independent journalist Sandhya Ravishankar has publicly accused Netflix of plagiarizing her work for its new film 'Reporting Live'. She claims the movie, which features Parineeti Chopra as a reporter investigating illegal sand mining, is based on her real-life story, which she pitched to the streaming giant twice. Ravishankar alleges the film lifted elements without credit or permission, calling the movie and performances amateurish. While acknowledging filmmakers altered the story to avoid a lawsuit, she is demanding a public apology from director Dhruv Tripathi and Netflix.

स्वतंत्र पत्रकार संध्या रविशंकर ने नेटफ्लिक्स पर अपनी नई फिल्म 'रिपोर्टिंग लाइव' के लिए उनके काम की साहित्यिक चोरी का आरोप लगाया है। उनका दावा है कि फिल्म, जिसमें परिणीति चोपड़ा एक अवैध रेत खनन की जांच करने वाली रिपोर्टर की भूमिका निभा रही हैं, उनकी वास्तविक जीवन की कहानी पर आधारित है, जिसे उन्होंने स्ट्रीमिंग दिग्गज को दो बार पिच किया था। रविशंकर का आरोप है कि फिल्म ने बिना श्रेय या अनुमति के तत्वों को चुरा लिया, और फिल्म तथा अभिनय को नौसिखिया बताया। हालांकि उन्होंने स्वीकार किया कि फिल्म निर्माताओं ने मुकदमा से बचने के लिए कहानी को बदला था, लेकिन वह निर्देशक ध्रुव त्रिपाठी और नेटफ्लिक्स से सार्वजनिक माफी की मांग कर रही हैं।
