Hundreds of students at the University of The Gambia protested on Monday over issues including a lack of university buses, poor campus facilities, and unreliable internet. Students described the daily commute as a "survival of the fittest" scenario, competing for limited transport. The Students' Union stated that over 12,000 students are affected by these issues. The government has promised improvements, deploying 20 buses and addressing cafeteria and internet connectivity concerns, though student demands for leadership resignations remain unresolved.
