The Tamil Nadu government has significantly enhanced welfare measures for women employees working in temples. Maternity leave has been extended from the previous nine months to a full 12 months. Additionally, the maximum limit for encashing earned leave has been increased from 210 days to 240 days. These initiatives were announced during the demand for grants for 2026-27 and are now in effect. The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) minister confirmed the implementation of these welfare measures, aiming to support temple employees.

तमिलनाडु सरकार ने मंदिरों में काम करने वाली महिला कर्मचारियों के लिए कल्याणकारी उपायों में काफी वृद्धि की है। मातृत्व अवकाश को पिछले नौ महीने से बढ़ाकर पूरे 12 महीने कर दिया गया है। इसके अलावा, अर्जित अवकाश को भुनाने की अधिकतम सीमा 210 दिनों से बढ़ाकर 240 दिन कर दी गई है। ये पहल 2026-27 के लिए अनुदान की मांग के दौरान घोषित की गई थीं और अब प्रभावी हैं। हिंदू धार्मिक और धर्मार्थ बंदोबस्त (HR&CE) मंत्री ने इन कल्याणकारी उपायों के कार्यान्वयन की पुष्टि की, जिसका उद्देश्य मंदिर कर्मचारियों का समर्थन करना है।
