33 Medical Super-Speciality Seats Vacant In Tamil Nadu

A total of 33 super-speciality medical seats remained vacant in Tamil Nadu after a stray counselling round for in-service candidates. This occurred despite the qualifying percentile being lowered to 30% and seats being returned after All India Quota counselling. Vacancies include 10 seats each in MCh Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery and MCh Paediatric Surgery. Doctors expressed concern, suggesting the government should enact a law to fill all reserved seats independently and maintain consistent eligibility criteria to prevent future vacancies.
