BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has requested the Mumbai Police to investigate actor Imran Khan's involvement in a CJP agitation. Somaiya questioned whether a foreign citizen is permitted to participate in such protests without necessary permissions, especially after Khan was detained. Khan stated he was present as a citizen concerned about restricted freedom of movement and suppressed voices. The protest, held in solidarity with a CJP demonstration in New Delhi, saw several individuals detained by Mumbai Police near Nana Chowk.
