Russia to Extend Diesel Export Ban Until 2027 With Global Market Exemptions

Business Standard · business

Russia is planning to extend its ban on most diesel exports until January 2027, though specific exemptions will allow some volumes to reach global markets. A government order is reportedly being prepared to enact this three-month extension. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak indicated that while refinery attacks could impact plans, the reduction in export volumes is not expected to be significant. Russia aims to restore monthly exports to up to 3.5 million tonnes by year-end, contingent on sufficient domestic supply and the actions of Ukraine.
