अरुणाचल प्रदेश पुलिस ने नामसाई में एक बड़े अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानव तस्करी गिरोह के मुख्य सदस्य को गिरफ्तार किया है और 12 लोगों को बचाया है। इस कार्रवाई से अब तक बचाए गए पीड़ितों की कुल संख्या 51 हो गई है। यह गिरोह अरुणाचल प्रदेश और असम के आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों को निशाना बना रहा था, बच्चों की पढ़ाई के झूठे वादे करके माता-पिता को बहकाता था। इसके बजाय, बच्चों को अवैध रूप से घरेलू कामगारों या होटल कर्मचारियों के रूप में रखा जाता था, और संचालकों, बिचौलियों और माता-पिता के बीच पैसों का लेन-देन होता था। पूरे नेटवर्क को खत्म करने के लिए फोरेंसिक टीमें वित्तीय लेन-देन का पता लगा रही हैं और जांच जारी है।
