The petition aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by lawyers, journalists, court staff, and the general public. Dr. Rai emphasized the right to peaceful protest but stressed that it should not impede the judiciary's functioning. He also argued against internet suspensions, stating that it is a crucial tool for apprehending criminals and should remain operational.

SCBA के अध्यक्ष, डॉ. प्रदीप राय, ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में सड़क और इंटरनेट सेवाओं को बंद करने को लेकर एक महत्वपूर्ण याचिका दायर की है। इस याचिका का उद्देश्य वकीलों, पत्रकारों, कोर्ट स्टाफ और आम जनता को हो रही परेशानियों को कम करना है। डॉ. राय ने शांतिपूर्ण विरोध के अधिकार पर जोर दिया, लेकिन कहा कि इससे न्यायपालिका के कामकाज में बाधा नहीं आनी चाहिए। उन्होंने इंटरनेट निलंबन के खिलाफ भी तर्क दिया, यह कहते हुए कि यह अपराधियों को पकड़ने का एक महत्वपूर्ण साधन है और इसे चालू रहना चाहिए।
