Delhi to Get 70 New Mechanised Sweepers to Combat Air Pollution from November

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is set to deploy 70 new mechanised road-sweeping machines across the city starting mid-November to combat air pollution. The fleet will comprise 15 CNG-powered vehicles and 55 electric vehicles, imported from Europe. These self-propelled machines feature sweeping capacities of two and four cubic meters and include a third front brush for enhanced dust and debris removal. The Delhi government's environment department is providing financial support for this initiative.

नगर निगम दिल्ली (MCD) नवंबर के मध्य से शहर में वायु प्रदूषण से लड़ने के लिए 70 नई मशीनी सड़क-सफाई मशीनें तैनात करने जा रहा है। इस बेड़े में 15 सीएनजी-संचालित वाहन और 55 इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन शामिल होंगे, जिन्हें यूरोप से आयात किया गया है। इन सेल्फ-प्रोपेल्ड मशीनों में दो और चार क्यूबिक मीटर की स्वीपिंग क्षमताएं हैं और इनमें धूल और मलबा हटाने के लिए एक तीसरी फ्रंट ब्रश भी शामिल है। दिल्ली सरकार का पर्यावरण विभाग इस पहल के लिए वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान कर रहा है।
