Indian Rupee Rises Above 96-Mark

The Indian rupee appreciated by 19 paise to close at 95.80 against the US dollar on Friday, moving above the 96-mark. This rise was driven by improved global risk sentiment and potential intervention by the Reserve Bank of India. However, demand from local importers and high crude prices limited further gains. Indian stock markets also saw modest gains, with the BSE Sensex closing up 315.20 points and the NSE Nifty 50 up 77.40 points.

शुक्रवार को भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 19 पैसे मजबूत होकर 95.80 पर बंद हुआ। वैश्विक स्तर पर बेहतर सेंटीमेंट और RBI की संभावित दखलंदाजी से यह मजबूती आई। हालांकि, स्थानीय खरीदारों की मांग और कच्चे तेल की ऊंची कीमतों ने और बढ़त को रोका। शेयर बाज़ार में भी मामूली तेज़ी देखी गई, सेंसेक्स 315.20 अंक और निफ्टी 50, 77.40 अंक ऊपर बंद हुए।
