Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors Gain Market Share in H1 FY2027

Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors have recorded the largest market share gains during the first half of fiscal year 2027 (April-September 2026). Total car sales across 14 manufacturers grew by 27.16% to 26,36,926 units compared to the previous year. Maruti Suzuki strengthened its leading position with 10,80,240 units sold, increasing its market share to 40.97%. Tata Motors surpassed Mahindra to secure the second position, selling 3,76,840 units and expanding its market share to 14.29%. Nissan achieved the fastest percentage growth among manufacturers.
