Alec Bohm Snubs $23.15 Million Offer, Phillies Exit Looms

Times of India · sports

The Philadelphia Phillies have declined to extend a qualifying offer to third baseman Alec Bohm, making him a free agent without draft-pick compensation. The one-year offer was valued at $23.15 million, significantly more than his previous earnings. Bohm's season statistics, including a.249 batting average and defensive metrics, likely contributed to the decision. Several teams, including the Angels, Cardinals, and Reds, are reportedly interested in signing him, potentially filling needs at third base.
