Lone Tusker Wanders Through Kunkuri Town, Causing Panic

A lone elephant caused panic in Kunkuri town, Jashpur district, on Sunday as it traversed through a church, hospital, Chhath ghat, and a busy market. The animal entered the Mahagirja Ghar church and Holy Cross hospital campus early in the morning, damaging a boundary wall. Later, it was spotted near the Chhath ghat and entered the weekly market in the afternoon, causing people to flee. Forest officials urged residents not to approach the elephant and to report sightings to personnel.

रविवार को जशपुर जिले के कुनकुरी शहर में एक अकेले हाथी ने चर्च, अस्पताल, छठ घाट और एक व्यस्त बाजार से गुजरते हुए दहशत फैला दी। यह जानवर सुबह-सुबह महागिरजा घर चर्च और होली क्रॉस अस्पताल परिसर में घुस गया, जिससे एक बाउंड्री वॉल क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई। बाद में, इसे छठ घाट के पास देखा गया और दोपहर में इसने साप्ताहिक बाजार में प्रवेश किया, जिससे लोग भाग खड़े हुए। वन अधिकारियों ने निवासियों से हाथी के पास न जाने और कर्मियों को उसकी जानकारी देने का आग्रह किया है।
