Himachal Student Gets Rs 3.5 Crore Defence Drone

A computer engineering student from Himachal Pradesh, Sarvesh Sharma, has received a Rs 3.5 crore grant from the Union Ministry of Defence. He will develop an indigenous drone, the 'Rudra Edge T-1 (Spectra)', for border surveillance. Designed to evade enemy radar and resist jamming, its capabilities will be confirmed after testing. Sharma's project evolved from an Rs 87,000 prototype, stemming from a drone competition win.

हिमाचल के छात्र को मिली 3.5 करोड़ की डिफेंस ड्रोन

हिमाचल प्रदेश के कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग छात्र सर्वेश शर्मा को रक्षा मंत्रालय से 3.5 करोड़ रुपये का अनुदान मिला है। वे सीमा निगरानी के लिए स्वदेशी ड्रोन 'रुद्र एज टी-1 (स्पेक्ट्रा)' बनाएंगे। यह ड्रोन दुश्मन के रडार से बच सकेगा और जैमिंग का भी सामना करेगा। इसकी क्षमताएं परीक्षण के बाद ही पक्की होंगी। यह प्रोजेक्ट एक ड्रोन प्रतियोगिता जीतने के बाद 87,000 रुपये के प्रोटोटाइप से विकसित हुआ है।
