Large-scale war tops global risk list

Large-scale war has surged to the top of global risk rankings, jumping 16 places and overshadowing pandemics and misinformation. The assessment, based on 1,300 global experts, shows geopolitical tensions now dominate concerns. Over a third of respondents believe war's effects could reach humanity within a year, rising to 76% over seven years. War is the only risk in the top six across all measures: importance, imminence, interconnectedness, and institutional unpreparedness.
