Rajasthan's Drug Control Department has launched an investigation into two maternal deaths at Kota's New Medical College Hospital following C-section complications. Teams collected seven drug samples, including broad-spectrum antibiotics and labour pain solutions, for laboratory testing. The focus is on Meropenem injections, with most of the procured doses already administered to patients. Hospital administration awaits official lab reports to determine if compromised drug quality contributed to the fatalities. Legal and administrative actions will follow the test results.
