India has called for international vigilance regarding the transfer of sensitive technology to countries with a history of proliferation or links to terrorism. Addressing the UN General Assembly's First Committee, Lok Sabha MP Alok Kumar Suman expressed deep concern over weapons of mass destruction potentially falling into the hands of terrorists. He urged member states to monitor dual-use and sensitive technology transfers, particularly to nations with proliferation records. India has consistently tabled resolutions on preventing terrorists from acquiring weapons of mass destruction since 2002.
