Homeguard Strangles Wife and Daughter to Death in Lucknow Home

A 56-year-old homeguard allegedly strangled his wife and elder daughter to death with a data cable while they slept in their Lucknow home early Friday. The accused, Ravindra Shankar Gupta, later informed the police and was detained. Preliminary investigations suggest frequent disputes over the daughter's conversations with a young man may have led to the murders. The family had a history of domestic discord, with the wife having previously left home after a dispute. A murder case has been registered against Gupta, and further investigation is ongoing.

लखनऊ में शुक्रवार तड़के एक 56 वर्षीय होमगार्ड ने कथित तौर पर सोते समय अपनी पत्नी और बड़ी बेटी की डेटा केबल से गला घोंटकर हत्या कर दी। आरोपी रविंद्र शंकर गुप्ता ने बाद में पुलिस को सूचित किया और उसे हिरासत में ले लिया गया। प्रारंभिक जांच से पता चलता है कि बेटी की एक युवक से बातचीत को लेकर बार-बार होने वाले विवादों से हत्याएं हुई हो सकती हैं। परिवार में पहले से ही घरेलू कलह का इतिहास रहा है, पत्नी ने पहले भी एक विवाद के बाद घर छोड़ दिया था। गुप्ता के खिलाफ हत्या का मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और आगे की जांच जारी है।
