DMK Alleges Court Forced Veeramani Arrest

The DMK has alleged that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government arrested 'Gem Granites' owner Veeramani only after the court expressed displeasure over the sexual assault of children. DMK Rajya Sabha MP Constantine Ravindran claimed the TVK government tried to cover up the case multiple times before the court's intervention. He stated Veeramani was arrested on August 27 due to court pressure, not for justice. Ravindran also accused Chief Minister Joseph Vijay of making unsubstantiated allegations linking the DMK to the case during election campaigns.

डीएमके का आरोप है कि तमिलनाडु वेत्री कज़गम (TVK) सरकार ने बच्चों के यौन उत्पीड़न पर कोर्ट की नाराजगी के बाद ही 'जेम ग्रेनाइट्स' के मालिक वीरमणि को गिरफ्तार किया। डीएमके सांसद कॉन्स्टेंटाइन रविंद्रन ने कहा कि कोर्ट के दखल से पहले TVK सरकार ने कई बार केस दबाने की कोशिश की। उन्होंने कहा कि वीरमणि को 27 अगस्त को कोर्ट के दबाव में गिरफ्तार किया गया, न्याय के लिए नहीं। रविंद्रन ने CM जोसेफ विजय पर चुनाव प्रचार में डीएमके को केस से जोड़ने के बेबुनियाद आरोप लगाने का भी इल्जाम लगाया।
